It doesn’t have to be complicated.
Most strategy is finding the clearest, or best available route forward for making progress (rather than standing still).
It means knowing where you want to be, and what the goal you’re working towards looks like.
You then adjust the strategy as you go based on what you learn and what happens as you make progress. This means being aware of the risks you’re taking, and the assumptions you’re making at every step (but learning by doing/responding to and with real insight and data).
I think that you should be able to simplify and draw out your high level strategy and goals. I’m always surprised how many organisations/teams/services struggle to communicate or break down what their strategy is.
